Who we are
This website is operated by Jai Bucknell, trading as Brikd ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at hello@brikd.co.uk or by post at 14 The Courtyard, St. Mary's Chare, Hexham NE46 1NH.
What we collect and why
When you use our quote form or email us, we collect your name, email address, business name, budget range, the details you give us about your project and the options you chose in the quote builder.
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to deliver your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
We do not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and our email:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website and receives quote form submissions on our behalf.
- Our email provider, which stores the emails we exchange with you.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this website. Your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, which shares your IP address with Google.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the UK's adequacy regulations or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
If you do not become a client, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months and then delete it. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as needed for the project and for six years after it ends, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred to you or another organisation. To use any of these rights, email hello@brikd.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
