Who is behind Brikd
Brikd was founded by Jai Bucknell in Hexham, Northumberland, to give local businesses websites that do real work: taking bookings, selling online, answering customers and plugging into the systems they already use.
Jai's background is in engineering and technical operations, where getting the detail right and documenting it properly matters. Brikd brings the same approach to websites: clear scopes, fixed prices, careful testing and code that is built to last.
How we work
Hand-built, not templated
Every site is designed for your business and built in lightweight code, so it is fast, secure and easy to extend.
Fixed prices
You get a written scope and a fixed quote before any work starts. No hourly surprises.
You own everything
The design, code and content are yours once the final invoice is paid, in a repository you control.
Straight advice
If a website builder or an off-the-shelf tool would serve you better, we will say so.
Built to be found
Technical SEO, accessibility and performance are part of every build, not optional extras.
Local and reachable
Based in Hexham, happy to meet in person across Northumberland and Tyneside, and easy to reach by email.
